Sale Overview
The L’Wren Scott Collection presents the fashion designer’s most important pieces in a small and significant group that celebrates her legacy. The proceeds of the sale will go towards funding The L’Wren Scott Fashion Scholarship at Central Saint Martins, UAL.
The 55-lot sale highlights the vision of her collections, the precise construction of her bespoke dresses and illustrates how Scott’s talent led her to work with some of the most celebrated leaders in the fashion, film and music industries. The sale is peppered with red-carpet dresses and ensembles worn by the likes of Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Madonna and Amy Adams. The top lots are two incredibly detailed stage jackets Scott custom-designed for her long-term partner Mick Jagger. The oak leaf ‘glamouflage’ jacket was worn by Jagger during the historic Rolling Stones headline performance at Glastonbury in 2013, and the butterfly jacket during the celebrated Hyde Park concert, which was part of The Rolling Stones’ ‘50 & Counting’ tour that same year.
The L’Wren Scott Collection is a beautiful archive, chronicling Scott’s career as a fashion designer and embodying her philosophy of timeless style and modern classic, which transcended day to evening. These works will remain stunning and relevant for decades to come.
