Le tableau a fait l’objet d’un rentoilage un peu sec ayant pu aplatir la matière picturale.

On constate dans la partie supérieure un réseau de craquelures assez prononcé à surveiller pouvant causer des soulèvements.

On constate un petit manque en haut, à gauche.

A l’œil nu, on constate des restaurations entraînant un aspect mat dans la partie supérieure, dans les noirs.

A l’UV, on constate les restaurations précédemment mentionnées dans les fonds. On constate des restaurations intervenant sur le réseau de craquelures. Les fruits, l’assiette, la boîte à copeaux apparaissent dans un assez bon état général aux UV. Le tableau est sous un vernis vert uniforme.

Dans un cadre en bois doré (approx. 66 x 82 cm.).

The painting has been subject to a slightly firm relining process which may have flattened the paint layer.

The upper part of the painting has a network of cracks that should be watched for, as they may cause lifting.
There is a small loss in the upper left corner.

To the naked eye, there are restorations resulting in a matt appearance in the upper part, in the blacks.

Ultraviolet examination reveals the afore mentioned restorations to the backgrounds. Restorations to the network of cracks can also be seen. The fruit, the plate and the box appear to be in fairly good condition under UV light. The painting is under a uniform green coat of varnish.
