Sale Overview
This November, Christie’s Paris holds its first online auction dedicated to Old Masters, which spans five centuries of European drawings, paintings and sculptures.
The graphic section reunites an interesting selection of drawings mainly by the French school, with prominent artists such as Charles de La Fosse and Jean-Baptiste Mallet. These will be presented alongside three important private collections of paintings, including portraits by Donat Nonotte and the circle of Jean-Baptiste Oudry. The Old Master auction will also feature a selection of sculptures and works of art including Renaissance enamels by the Pénicaud dynasty and Pierre Reymond, a set of memento mori and a collection of 17th and 18th centuries bronzes.
Compiled with a great variety to meet the taste of a wide range of collectors, this sale is a unique opportunity to acquire online works from the Middle Ages through the Baroque and beyond.
