Cupid in tree with one wing broken and restuck. She with restoration to her right hand. Standing putto with clear lacquer covering his torso, head, arms and arrow quiver, presumably concealing a restored break. A few short glazed cracks to the back of the group. Minute chipping to extremities, particularly to hat brim and cuffs. Some slight chipping, losses and restoration to applied leaves and foliage. Slight wear and occasional small flake to gilding and enamels. Slight chipping to edge of base.
An XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) test was carried out by The Centre for Archaeological and Forensic Analysis at Cranfield University, confirming that the enamels on this object are consistent with the published data for enamels on other Meissen porcelain dating from the first half of the 18th century.
