The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- with wide margins, probably the full sheet, a deckle edge at right
- two registration holes at the upper and lower portion of the plate
- the sheet hinged to the mount with adhesive tape at the sheet edges on the reverse and in the margins, with associated skinning
- minor and unobtrusive creases in places in the margins and sheet edges
- minor time staining at the extreme sheet edges on the reverse
- a few pale and unobtrusive pinpoint foxmarks in the margins
