    Mrs Thatcher was given this model during her groundbreaking visit to Gdansk in 1988. Mrs Thatcher visited the Westerplatte monument which marks the first battle between the German and Polish forces during the 1939 German invasion of Poland and by extension, marks the beginning of the Second World War.
