Christie's proudly presents OCEANIA NOW: Contemporary Art from Pacific, curated by Christie’s African and Oceanic Art and Post-War & Contemporary Art departments in Paris. OCEANIA NOW represents Christie’s first dedicated online auction of contemporary artists from the Pacific, an exciting and unique opportunity to engage with some of the most important emerging and established artists in the region today. Christie’s is delighted to collaborate on this project with Alison Bartley and John Gow, two of the most influential and established gallerists in New Zealand. The exhibition will be free and open to the public and coincide with the online sale catalogue publishing on christies.com, for those unable to attend in person.

The selection covers three generations of artists, from the most established such as Dame Robin White, Lisa Reihana MNZM, Brett Graham, Shane Cotton and John Pule to mid-career artists such as Kelcy Taratoa and emerging artists as Cora-Allan Wickliffe. Works by many artists are already present in prestigious public museum collections in in New Zealand and abroad.

Christie's a l'honneur de présenter OCEANIA NOW : Art contemporain du Pacifique, organisée par les départements Art africain et océanien et Art d'après-guerre et contemporain de Christie's à Paris. Cette exposition passionnante se déroulera simultanément avec la première vente en ligne de Christie's consacrée aux artistes contemporains du Pacifique. Se déroulant du 11 février au 1er mars, cette vente en ligne représente une occasion unique pour le marché français et international de s'engager auprès de certains des plus importants artistes émergents et établis de la région aujourd'hui. Christie's est ravie de collaborer à ce projet avec Alison Bartley et John Gow, deux des galeristes les plus influents et les plus établis de Nouvelle-Zélande. L'exposition sera gratuite et ouverte au public et coïncidera avec la publication du catalogue de la vente en ligne sur christies.com, pour ceux qui ne pourront pas y assister en personne.
