The painting is composed on three horizontally-oriented wood panels. The lower panel measures approximately 5 inches high, the central panel measures approximately 7.75 inches and the upper panel measures approximately 6.75 inches. The work is supported on the reverse with a cradle. The paint layer is stable and under a clear varnish that has yellowed with age. The pigment has thinned, most notably to the sky. Under natural light, scattered retouching, including to the panel joins, the sky and an area at lower left, is visible. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms the aforementioned restorations. The painting should be hung in its present state. The work is offered in a carved giltwood frame.
