Peaches and grapes on a ledge

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This painting executed on canvas, has been fully laid down to a panel. Slight cusping is visible at the left and lower edges. The paint layer is stable, although slightly abraded, under a clear varnish. A repaired hole, at upper center, measuring 2 3/4 inches in diameter is visible in raking and ultraviolet light. Further small losses in the upper most peach, lower leaf, grapes, and in the grey foreground have also been restored. The painting can be hung in its present state and is offered in a carved and giltwood frame.
