This large engraving is closely related to a drawing in the same direction by Abraham Bloemaert in the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main (inv. no. 2878 Z). An impression of this unattributed print with full text margin is at the Harvard Art Museums (inv. no. G3944). Another, reversed engraving of the same subject by Nicolaas de Bruyn (Hollstein 129), dated 1604, probably preceeds the present version.
