Self-Portrait in a Velvet Cap with Plume

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- thread margins.
- some touches of grey wash along the brim of the cap and on the left of the artist’s face in places.
- some very pale and unobtrusive pinpoint foxmarks in places.
- a tiny disturbed portion in the blank area at right (probably due to the removal of a old hinge).
- paper hinges at the sheet corners edge verso.
Otherwise as described and in very good condition.
