The work is executed on a single beveled panel with a horizontal grain. There is evidence of old wood worm, now inactive. There are very minor losses to the top edge at the left and center, and to the upper and lower right corners. The paint layer is stable under a clear varnish that has slightly yellowed with age. Under natural light, minor scattered retouching and lines of strengthening are visible. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms the aforementioned restorations. The work should be hung in its present state. The painting is offered with a simple black painted wood frame.
