The canvas is relined and stable on its support. There are minor losses to the extreme edges. The paint layer is stable and under a clear varnish that has slightly yellowed with age. The is an overall network of craquelure. Under natural light, scattered retouchings overall are visible. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms the aforementioned retouchings and several campaigns of restoration. Retouching to the extreme edges, to minimize the appearance of craquelure and lines of stregthening are evident. The painting should be hung in its present state. The work is offered without a frame.
