The canvas has been subject to relining; it is held under tension and remains stable. There is a small puncture to the canvas upper left, of approximately 1.5 cm. Examination in natural light shows retouching to the sky, upper left. There is scattered retouching across the canvas. There is a fine pattern of craquelure across the surface. Examination under UV light confirms the aforementioned retouching. There is a thick varnish that precludes further examnation.
