The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged periodically along the upper edge to the backing board and undulates slightly, most noticeably at the edges. The edges of the sheet are deckled. Slight discoloration is noted occasionally to the edges of the sheet. Pinholes are to the upper corners, presumably a vestige of the artist's working process. A partial tear and small crease is to the right upper edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
