The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board and undulates faintly to the left edge. Pinholes are visible to the upper corners, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. A minute tear is visible to the right upper edge. A few small handling indentations are visible intermittently to the sheet. A few small areas of discoloration are visible occasionally to the lower half of the figure, presumably in keeping with the artist's choice of medium. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
