We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Guanyin:
-nicks and scratches to the bronze overall
-minor losses, including at both knees, left shoulder, and left side of back
-previous repairs, including at the left wrist
-remaining pink polychromy overall
Guardian figure:
-nicks and scratches overall
-minor losses, including a portion of the streaming ribbon behind the head, a support tang below the left foot, and at both shoulders, lower back and left side of plinth
-minor stress cracks, including at the back of the right shoulder and the left side of the back
-the figure would have held a staff or spear
Daoist Immortal:
-minor nicks and scratches to the bronze overall
-the gilding on the face is partially worn
-minor losses, including the right small finger, in the drapery below the legs, in the folds of the drapery below the right elbow, and at the left shoulder
- previous repairs, including at the fingers and fan stem of the right hand
