17TH-18TH CENTURY
The figure of Guanyin is seated with her left hand raised in abhayamudra and her right holding a young child. She is dressed in heavy robes, and her headdress is centered by a diminutive image of Amitabha. The guardian figure stands on a low plinth with his hands held before his chest as if to hold a spear or staff. He is garbed in armor and his face sports a full beard. The third figure depicts the Daoist immortal Zhongli Quan, holding a vase containing the elixir of long life in his left hand and a fan in his right.
10 ½, 15 and 11 in. (26.7, 38.1 and 28 cm.) high
