Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
No cracks or restorations detected. Minor fritting to the rim. Pitting and very fine lines of crazing, inherent to the medium. A tiny loss to the glaze in the tail of the bull. The underneath with three footmarks, with associated tiny losses, consistent with the removal of kiln furniture. Further pitting, light wear and a small chip to the footrim. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the present work appears to be in generally good condition.
