Post-War and Contemporary Art Online will be open for bidding from 1 to 15 October as part of the 20th/21st Century Art auction series at Christie’s in London.
Bringing together accessibly priced works by leading post-war and contemporary artists, the sale features highlights by Allison Katz, Nicole Wittenberg, Brian Calvin, Emily Mae Smith, Daniel Richter and Isa Genzken.
Internationally renowned artists have generously donated works to benefit Blue Marine, a charity dedicated to protecting the ocean and tackling overfishing, one of the world’s biggest environmental problems. The works will be offered in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day sale on 10 October and in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Online sale. Artists involved in this initiative include Lydia Blakeley, Rashid Johnson, Bouke de Vries, Jonathan Wateridge, Şerban Savu and Tal R. As part of this initiative, Jefferson Hack has curated a section of photography including Alex Prager, Viviane Sassen and Jamie Hawkesworth.
Leading British artists including Rebecca Warren, Bridget Riley and Hurvin Anderson have generously donated works to benefit the British Council.
