From 23‒30 October, Christie’s will present the Schiaparelli: Regina King Emmy Outfits Proceeds Intended to Support The Obama Foundation’s Girls Opportunity Alliance. This unique online-only auction features two lots only, both created by the esteemed Maison Schiaparelli in Paris for the renowned actress and activist Regina King. The first — a Haute Couture asymmetric, electric blue bustier dress in embroidered faille with 250 encrusted multi-coloured jewels — required 270 hours of work and 12 meters of silk before it graced the virtual red carpet including original sketch of the look signed by Schiaparelli Creative Director Daniel Roseberry and Regina King.  King wore the second — a Ready-to-Wear double-breasted wool suit in iconic Schiaparelli shocking pink with embellished ‘bijoux’ buttons and matching trousers — to receive the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series.

The two Schiaparelli pieces in combination with the philanthropic mission produce a powerful effect with proceeds directly benefiting The Obama Foundation’s Girls Opportunity Alliance, which empowers adolescent girls around the world through education. The lots can be viewed by appointment only at our galleries in Los Angeles.
