The canvas is not lined. Minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges. Each with surface soiling and scattered fine lines of craquelure, particularly to the sky. Scattered pinpoints of pigment loss. The example of the spaniel with an approx. 3⁄4 in. restoration at the dog's tail and an approx. 3 in. restoration to the sky in the upper left quadrant. The example of the vulture with small abrasions to the extreme upper edge, at the upper left quadrant, the left middleground and right middleground near the edges. With an approx. 2 in. scratch at the center foreground and an approx. 1 in. scratch to the upper right quadrant in the trees. With an area of restoration at the center of the sky. Each examined under ultraviolet light. With short strokes of inpainting at noted areas of restoration. The corners of the canvas hidden by the frame unfinished and with visible cracking and wear from the frame. Please note that Christie's does not guarantee the condition of frames.
