Christie’s is honored to present Vince Camuto: Designer and Collector. The sale will honor the late noted shoe designer, founder of Nine West and his eponymous brand, and reflect the passionate restoration, installation and decoration of Chateau Ridge, his home in Greenwich, Connecticut. Built in 1927 and purchased in a derelict condition by Vince Camuto in 1984, Chateau Ridge was rescued and returned to an iconic state of splendor over his years of stewardship. Magnificently revived spaces include the home's Great Hall and the Constellation Room, whose ceiling shines with fiber-optic stars that replicate the sky on the night of Camuto’s birth. For over thirty years, Chateau Ridge served as the perfect backdrop for a growing collection of antiques collected from across the world.  This Sale includes Italian and European Furniture, Old Master and Nineteenth Century European Paintings, French Carpets and Textiles, Chinese Porcelain, European Porcelain and Glass and European Silver.
