During the 2022 auction season, Christie’s Hong Kong is honoured to present a further 5 exciting, carefully curated, themed sales of watches from the incredible Champion Collection. Comprising around 450 pieces with the emphasis on 20th century and contemporary watches, the collection was formed over about 20 years by a prominent private collector whose discernment, excellent taste and deep appreciation of the highest level of horology can now be shared with collectors worldwide.

The Champion Collection quite naturally includes many significant and iconic pieces by all of the major watch brands including Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Rolex, Panerai, IWC and Vacheron Constantin. The selections to be offered from the collection over the course of 2022 are to be offered in themed sales beginning in April with ‘Sport Elegance’ followed by ‘The Artistry of Complication’ ; ‘The Panerai Encyclopedia: Chapter I’; ‘The Finest Watchmaking’ ; ‘The Panerai Encyclopedia: Final Chapter’.

This first sale entitled ‘Sport Elegance’ offers over 120 superb modern sports watches. Including Patek Philippe Nautilus and Aquanaut, Audemars Piguet, IWC and Porsche Design. Carefully maintained in exemplary condition, most are unworn and are offered complete with full set of box, certificate and accessories.
