Lot Essay

Offered in excellent, almost ‘as new’ condition, this substantial and highly attractive 18K white gold ‘Asteria’ chronograph is furthermore set with 55 baguette-cut white diamonds and 17 baguette-cut sapphires. The light blue mother of pearl dial enhanced by luminous alpha-style hands, the seconds at 3 o’clock is in the form of a rotating starfish. The chronograph features a tachymeter scale and registers for 30 minutes and 12 hours.

The Pershing chronograph is the most sporting watch within the firm's recent collection. Introduced in 2009, Parmigiani Fleurier and Pershing, the Italian Yacht Company, announced their cooperation to offer the new line of Pershing aquatic sport watches. This makes the Pershing 002 Chronograph the only multi-purpose use watch within the Parmigiani collection; it offers a high-end in-house mechanical automatic movement meeting Parmigiani’s high standards regarding quality and finish; it has become one of the most popular models in the collection since 2009.
