Both with caned backs and leather-covered arm pads and squab cushions, the larger stamped stamped 'J.B. BOULARD', the legs re--tipped, the smaller twice stamped 'M....N' and 'IGEO', also stamped 'JME', both previously painted
The neoclassical chair: 34 in. (86 cm.) high; 25 in. (63 cm.) wide; 2412 in. (62 cm.) deep
The other: 34 in. (86 cm.) high; 2612 in. (68 cm.) wide; 2314 in. (59 cm.) deep
Provenance
The Boulard example acquired by Giuseppe Rossi in 1964, the other acquired before 1955.
