Lot Essay

Since its inception in 1828, H. Moser & Cie. has earned a reputation for skillfully navigating the delicate balance between tradition and modernity. The brand seamlessly combines traditional movements and complications with contemporary case sizes, profiles, and dial designs. This fusion of respect for horological heritage and innovative aesthetics has established H. Moser & Cie. in a league of its own.

The present Endeavour Tourbillon Concept exemplifies this approach with its Vantablack dial and a DLC-coated stainless steel. Vantablack, the darkest material known to man, absorbs 99.965 per cent of light through its carbon nanotubes, reflecting virtually none. The introduction of a flying tourbillon at 6 o'clock creates a striking contrast, adding dynamic life to the dial while showcasing H. Moser’s ability to integrate cutting-edge technology with remarkable design.

Despite the significant power reserve drain typically associated with a tourbillon, this timepiece offers an impressive 72 hour power reserve. What could have been a merely understated piece instead commands attention, thanks to the brand’s carefully considered design choices. The result is a truly exceptional watch that pushes the boundaries of horological craftsmanship, delivering a captivating and unparalleled visual experience.
