The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet, with a deckle edge.
- the sheet with some time-staining, predominantly at the sheet edges.
- the deckle edge with a few short nicks.
- handling creases visible in the margins (mainly visible in a raking light).
- some light scuffing to the carborundum.
- four areas of scuffing near the sheet edges recto, presumably from old tape.
- some occasional foxspots verso, not showing recto.
- remains of old fabric tape along the sheet edges in various places verso.
- two pinpoint holes at the extreme left and right of the composition, presumably caused from the registration of the work.
Otherwise as described and in generally good condition.
