QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Small brushpot:
- there are three restored areas to outer mouth rim
- there other dents and chips to rims
- there's aage crack to the base extending up to the body
- expected surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use

Large brushpot:
- there are several age cracks to the mouth and base
- there are chips and dents to edges and surface
- there are few chips to the plug, particularly from the interior
- expected surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use
