Poor country house condition. As described in the cataloguing there is no padded back or covering to the chairback, showing the bare timbre beneath. Cresting rail with repaired breaks and joints. Severe break to right side of oval back adjacent to right arm. Loses to finish on chair back where previously repaired. Front left leg with repaired spliced break. All feet re-shaped to accommodate later castor cups, now lacking. Chair incised IIII in various places. Fraying, wear and fading to the leather seat covering. The padded arms torn, with loose stuffing and discolouration.
