SPECIALIST'S NOTES
Tie Bao (1752-1824), courtesy name Yeting, sobriquet Mei’an, was a native of Manchuria. He passed the civil examination in 1772 and eventually became the Ministry of Officials. His cursive script calligraphy shows the influence of Wang Xizhi, Huai Su and Sun Guoting. His artistic achievements was highly regarded as same as that of Liu Yong and Weng Fanggang.
