Le tableau est peint sur un panneau non parqueté, composé d'une planche, biseauté.

A l'oeil nu, le tableau pourrait bénéficier d'un nettoyage et d'un allègement de vernis. On constate un manque en bas à gauche dans le fond au niveau du coude.

A l'UV, l'épaisseur du vernis ne permet pas de constater des campagnes de restauration antérieures.

La matière reste stable sur l'ensemble du tableau.

Dans un cadre en bois, laiton et stuc dorés (approx. 43 x 43 cm.).

The painting is executed on a panel made up of a single board, bevelled to the edges. The panel is stable.

The painting presents well in natural light, with all the detail of the composition well preserved. The varnish has yellowed and would benefit from a light clean. There is a small loss in the background beside the model’s elbow.

Examination under UV light is precluded by the thickness of the varnish, which prevents a more in-depth examination. The paint remains stable.

In a giltwood, stucco and brass frame (approx. 43 x 43 cm.).
