The panel is composed of a single vertically-oriented board, with two horizontal batons supporting the reverse and a vertical bow. The paint layer is stable under a clear varnish. There is an overall network of craquelure. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals very minor scattered retouching. Another campaign of restoration is evident, but an opaque varnish impedes further inspection. The painting can be hung in its current state. The work is offered in a dark and gilt wood frame.
